There are students with outstanding miscellaneous and tuition payments for semester 1. Please note that you will not be allowed to join the clerkship which you have selected to do at this time unless you make payment or arrangement for payment with SAS/Bursary. Please go there on Monday morning. DO NOT come to me, I will not be able to assist you.
Those persons who are SLB applicants should go to SAS/Bursary as well to confirm their status.
Please note that every student has access to their account Information and can view their balance online SAS.
Please co-operate so as prevent any further actions to be taken.

Transport Arrangement - July 5 - 6
Dear All
Please note, that all students who are scheduled to go to the rural sites May Pen, Mandeville and Cornwall and Trelawny this weekend will be transported on Sunday July 6. the buses will leave at 7am from FMS new complex.
I am sending to the classes again the attached document to be completed by each student whether or not you choose to use the faculty bus as a means of transportation; you just need to indicate in the appropriate column.
Please download and save the document so whenever it is you turn to got to a rural site you can complete and send to me by email. Therefore, you CANNOT make arrangement for transportation in the Undergraduate Affair office. It is to be done via this route.

This Weekend's Transportation to Peripheral Sites
Dear All
The students who will be going to CRH, MRH and May Pen on the weekend to commence the senior medicine and Surgery clerkships please complete the attached and return by 12 pm TODAY. Please note that arrangement for the transportation is no longer made by going to the Dean's office. Therefore you are asked to save the attached so you can make your request via this document whenever need arise.
Please note that the students scheduled for Mandeville and May Pen will be transported to these sites Saturday. The bus will leave the FMS -T&R complex at 1pm.

4th & 5th Year Site Selection
Dear All
Attached is a schedule indicating the dates when groups are to select their training site(s) for both semester 1 & 2. The first sheet relates to 4th year students the second is for the final/5th year.
Please be advised that students who have registered to do Anaesthetics/Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics/Ophthalmology (streams B1 & B2), O&G (streams E1 & E2), Emerg. Med. & Com. Health (streams A1 & A2) for the period June 23 to Aug. 29, 2014 are scheduled to select training site(s) this Saturday May 17, 2014 at 6:30pm on OURVLE. Please follow the instructions below so that this can be smooth process.
The basic steps are as follows:
1. Log onto OurVLE by Wednesday, May 14, 2014
2. Use the search field or click on “All courses” and enter the course code of the course you wish to enter
3. Click once on the name of the course.
You WILL NOT see your choice activity/container at this time.
Students who will not be able to logon or select a site are those:
1. Who are NOT registered at all, not registered in the CORRECT STREAM or in the CORRECT SEMESTER. Please double check your registration carefully, don’t’ wait until it’s too late.
2. Whose password has expired.
3. Who have financial holds on their accounts. If you have a payment plan in place with the Bursary you may speak with someone in the Billings and Receivables Section, informing them that you need for them to release the hold so that you will be able to logon and select your training site. Do not wait until the last minute to do this.
Please note that neither I or any other staff member CAN assist students by placing them at a site; so it makes sense that you get yourself sorted out from now before the date for site selection.

Senior Medicine Clerkship
Hello Senior Medicine Students,
The bus for the peripheral hospitals (CRH, MRH, May Pen) will leave on Easter Monday April 21, 2014 at 7AM.
Please see the attached documents including siite (group) placement. Those students whose names are not on the site/group placement should contac Ms. Russell at the Deans Office.
The tutorial schedule as well as the sign in sheet for the on call room is to be obtained from the medicine office.

Students going to the rural sites (May Pen, CRH and MRH ) to do Senior Medicine and Senior Surgery commencing on April 22 will be transported on Easter Monday, April 21. Complete the attached document indicating whether or not you will use the faculty bus and need accommodation. Return to me via email by noon tomorrow the complete document.
Students who will be staying with relatives in these areas, you asked not to indicate that you need accommodation on hall then leave with the keys.
