UPCOMING EVENTS!

1. Socks and Sandals Day

Wednesday November 15 (Week 11)
We are less than a year away from our SMOKER and thus are in continuous fundraising
mode! As such we invite the entire class to participate in our 2ND theme day- SOCKS
AND SANDALS. If you adhere to the dress code it’s $30 on MMLT entry and $50 if you
don’t. Best COMBINATION outfit wins $300 call credit!!

2. Collection for Strathmore Place of Safety

Monday November 21- Friday November 25 (Week 12)
Funds will be collected from the class during this week to offset costs for a Christmas
Concert which will be held for the home (located in Spanish Town, St. Catherine) on
December 23 from 12- 3 pm. Funds collected will be used to purchase ice cream, cake,
associated utensils and decorations for the children. Please support!!

3. Mini Culture Presentation #3- BARBADOS

Thursday November 24 (Week 12)
Please make a special effort to get to school on Thursday, November 24 at 7:50 am (10
minutes before the start of the 1st class) as we will be having our 3rd Culture Presentation
for the semester on Barbados. This is in effort to help the entire class become more
aware of the countries we have represented in 2K15.

4. ‘Secret Santa’- Candy Cane and Note Delivery

Monday November 28- Wednesday November 30 (Week 13)
Similar to Secret Valentine held in Semester 2. Orders will be taken from Monday
November 21 onwards. Cost: small candy cane with Christmas tag attached- $50, large
candy cane with nicer Christmas tag attached- $100

5. After- Exam Jam with 2k16

Tuesday December 21 (Week 16)
6pm – 12am
Venue TBA

6. Beach Day

Wednesday December 22 (Week 16)

Tickets are on Sale Now (check EAC members!)
Venue: Boardwalk Beach (beside Fort Clarence)
Transportation Information: The buses will leave promptly at 9am from Pure and
Applied Parking Lot (For those driving please be at The Boardwalk by 9:45 am). The

buses will be leaving Boardwalk at 4 pm

Costs:
Entrance ONLY- $200 (includes a cup of fish soup and 2 festivals)
Round trip bus transportation and Entrance- $600
Jerked Chicken and bread- $350
Fried Fish and 2 Festivals- $650

Assorted Sodas and Water will be sold at the venue.
