Colleagues,
It's been quite sometime since I last emailed you...and I hope you've all been well since then. Just a few pertinent announcements :)
1. Class dues will not be collected this month, since we have so many other expenses dealing with.
2. Although 'Docs on Deck' is way down in November...we have to pay for the boat's gas! Sooo AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, buy your tickets so that we can have the boat reserved for that day. (And di jerk chicken too...yum yum)
3. Half payment for Jersey is also due. (Please ensure you're budgeting wisely and that you're eating properly)
4. Exams are a few weeks away, so be sure to be studying.
5. Tutorials for Mol. Med. are scheduled to start on Tuesday the 26th. There will be 5 weeks of tutorials and 5 lecturers so you will have one session with each lecturer. This is for M.B.,B.S. and D.D.S. students only. Tutorials for BBMedSci will be arranged separately. The groups that you go to, will be the groups you are in now for Labs: so your Lab groups are the same as your tutorial groups. Get it?
6. For the pinning ceremony, a final year student's mother usually makes the white jackets for the females. She has told me that the cost would be $1000.00 for the material, and an additional $900.00 to complete, so that's $1900.00 in total. She wants to set up about 2 or so days for taking measurements, since the class is so big; perhaps last names A-M on one Thursday afternoon, and the others on another Thursday afternoon. I will be selecting a date suitable to our timetables, and informing both you and the dressmaker. How does early November sound for you? (She needs time for the great volume of y'all beautiful ladies in the class) [Pinning ceremony is sometime next year, I'm not pretty sure of the exact date]
