PEACE DAY

Dear you,

In conjunction with PALS (Peace and Love in Schools) Jamaica, JAMSA's newest standing committee: Standing Committee on Human Rights and Peace (SCORP), will be spreading the message of peace on Tuesday, March 1, 2011. The campaign, "Peace...from Start to Finish" will include a poster display along the spine of the Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences, some 'huggers for peace' giving out some extra love around campus, and the distribution of some blue ribbons for peace awareness.

To preclinical students:
-show your support for peace in our country, and world, by wearing something blue on Tuesday.
-look out for SCORPions around your classes and around UWI with blue ribbons to distribute (and drop a donation for the ribbon if possible)

To clinical students:
-though all may not be able to wear something blue, support by getting a ribbon if you see any SCORPions distributing.

To everyone...remember peace, and peaceful behaviour, is not a one-day event. We all are charged to love one another, and out of love, find peaceful ways to resolve any conflicts.

The future of our country, and our world rests with us as future leaders!

As PALS goes out into primary and secondary schools to spread peace awareness. So, as medical students and JAMSA affiliates, we can do our part in our tertiary setting.

Looking forward to your support,

WHITE JACKETS

Hey Beautiful  Ladies,

Happy New Year to you all!! Hope 2nd semester is all that you hoped it would be. It's that time of year again when we will all be in need of White Jackets(for the 1st yrs - pinning ceremony and for the 2nd yrs - IMP2). Well you are in LUCK; my sister
(Mari-Lee's Fashions) makes white jackets and her prices are way lower than the rest.

Jackets:
Including material - $1500*
**Without material( i.e. you provide your own material) - $1200

These jackets are styling, as it is custom made to suit your preferences; you get to choose from a variety of textures and materials and you get to add your unique style(if you want) to your white jacket (
cute pockets, sleeves, bows, pleats...anything u want really). If you do not know what style you want, don't you worry about it, she also has a variety of styles to choose from. If you ask anyone who got their jackets from my sister they would tell you that these jackets are neat, excellently made, cute among many other comments, at a reasonable price.

I'll be coming to take measurements this from Thursday February 10, 2011 until you say when after classes. I will bring samples of material, styles to choose from etc with me. If you have any further questions you can get back to me at this email address or you can call the number 467-3649.

P.S:

  •             It would be appreciated if you could bring a deposit ($700).
  •              Also there are some styles offered that might cost more than $1500
  •           ** the amount of material needed is dependent on your size but it typically ranges from 1.5 - 2 yards per jacket.
  •            My sister is a seamstress and as such, makes much more than jackets, if you are interested in skirts, blouses, dresses, pants, etc. please             feel free to ask about those options as well.

A consequence of this wave-particle duality is that all matter has a wave aspect, and cannot be said to have a definite localized position at all times. Moreover, by virtue of their non-local wave properties, pairs of spatially separated particles sometimes exhibit non-local correlations in their attributes.

Thank you for your attention
