T & T drive

FROM T&T DRIVE TO ST.MONICA’s CHILDREN HOME!

The toothbrush and toothpaste drive was FANTASTIC!!!!!! There was indeed a lot of smiling and laughter!!! A team of Social Arms and DDS representatives went to St.Monica’s Children’s home in Chapelton , Clarendon on Sunday October 23rd. It was an adventure because we had no idea how far or what we would encounter over many hills and valleys but it was a worthwhile trip. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted, we then proceeded to start our program involving singing songs; SMILE A WHILE and WITH CHRIST IN THE VESSEL YOU CAN SIMLE AT THE STORM. After we prayed we played a getting- to- know- you- game called Four corners , the kids were asked to draw their favourite fruit, what they want to become, their hero and what animal they would want to be. Dr.Shawnette Finegan-Bailey accompanied the team and gave the kids a Dental Hygiene talk which was entertaining and very educational and demonstrative (BIG TEETH). We then distributed the dental packages with the donations from the class , the contents of this package also included brochures and stickers donated from Dr. Finegan-Bailey. As things came to a close it was hard to say goodbye but we played one game where we held hands in a circle and tried to fit through a hoola hoop without breaking the circle!! VERY FUN!! I’m GRATEFUL FOR ALL THOSE WHO DONATED TO THE DRIVE AND CAME OUT TO SUPPORT!!!

STETHOSCOPES

Hi Nicole,

I have made contact with 3M regarding getting good prices on stethoscopes for 2K15. They are the manufactures of Littman and therefore will give us the best possible deal. I have placed the brochures in the power point file attached.

The message below is from Ms. Shauna Jackson from 3M.

Please see brochures below on the following Littmann Stethoscopes:

1. The Classic II
2. The Master Classic II
3. The Cardiology III

Please advise your team that interested persons may contact me either by phone or email.
The more persons, the greater the discount, (the aim is at least 20)!!!

All colours are available and there is a lifetime support where parts are concerned. If there is a different Littmann that they may have seen online and it is not here they also have access to it

Regards,
Calvin

POL & Schedule Changes c/o Donna Beman

Dear Class of 2015:

This is to advise that Dr. Millard will give the two lectures, Congenital Heart Disease 1 & 2, on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, 2:00-4:00p.m. in the MMLT.

Dr. M. Scarlett will give the lecture Patho-physiology and Treatment of Shock on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 12:00noon in the MMLT.

As a reminder to students I have attached a list of the learning communities in Class of 2015. I am also sending you the (Cardiovascular POL Cases) .

I would like students to check the Learning Community List  and let me know of any omissions or other error. I will leave a copy in the Undergraduate Office as the notice board outside MMLT is not very secure.

Thanks for your assistance.
