Scholarship for Bahamian MBBS Students

Dear Year 2  UWI Students from the BAHAMAS Studying Medicine in Jamaica:

I trust that you all are enjoying your last long summer break before commencing year 2 in August.

Attached is the application form for the Lia's Legacy Scholarship (valued at US $1,500/year for 2 years).  Lia Lashley was an outstanding Bahamian student in the MBBS class of 2012 who passed away in 2008. In honor of Lia, her family established this award.  Only BAHAMIAN students who have completed year 1 of the MBBS program in Jamaica may apply (i.e, students in the Class of 2015), and completed application forms with all supporting materials must be submitted by August 12th.  Further, all completed forms and supporting documents should be sent to the SCREENING COMMITTEE via the following e-mail address: lias.legacy@gmail.com.

If I have omitted any of the first year MBBS students, kindly forward this e-mail to them.  I also apologize if the information does not pertain to you.

Questions regarding the scholarship may be sent to lias.legacy@gmail.com.
